Kira Seamon's "Taking the Fifth"- BEETHOVEN!!! (solo) Tube. Duration : 3.20 Mins.We had a good read. For the benefit of yourself. Be sure to read to the end. I want you to get good knowledge from Physical Therapy Graduate Schools . I LOVE Beethoven's Fifth!!! This is my solo to an excerpted version of his Fifth Symphony, 1st mvt. I, in fact, loved this music and my cd cut of it so much, that I took it with me to my Choreographic Conference in July of 2009. The piece I choreographed at the Conference and the companion video of that sister work is also available on the Kira Seamon Channel. This was performed soon after the knee injury I discussed in the "Rose Adagio" video, also on the Kira Seamon Channel. However, it was 2 months later into physical therapy, and I could do considerably more than before. This was a highly popular piece at the Competition, winning an award and generous applause. My favorite memory of this competition is about an interaction that happened before I even performed. I was warming up/practicing in the hallway and noticed a number of high school girls watching me. One of them bravely approached me to tell me that she has "a thing" about hand movements in ballet, and I have the most beautiful hand movements in ballet that she had ever seen. I was very honored, thanked her and said I wish her well in her solos. It was a fantastic interaction and I felt wonderful afterwards. Every dancer works for the goal of living up to the best they can be and to have realized that goal made all the years of hard work worthwhile. This piece was also performed in my debut at the beautiful outdoor concert held in Cambridge MA each year, the Harvard Square Mayfair.
