Jason Tyler is an 8th grader at Henderson Middle School who has experienced a traumatic and mysterious brain injury on December 2nd. Over night he appeared to go blind. Although he was rushed to the hospital and took every test available, it didn't save him from experiencing an undetected blood clot that burst and caused a severe brain bleed that was to his two frontal lobes 5 days later. He was in a coma for 7 weeks and 4 days. Although he was not expected to survive, he made it through. Jason is now back home and him and his family are learning to live with a completely new situation. As of now Jason cannot speak or walk or communicate well. He has a shunt in his brain, a tracheostomy, and a G Tube. The family is in need of help and any and all donations are welcome. Right now he needs to undergo a lot of therapy and one of the largest challenges is transportation. The need of a handicap vehicle is essential to get him back and forth to appointments and not keep him confined to the house. There are also many things that are not covered by medicaid and are daily needs, such as diapers which costs close to 0 a week. With the family having to assist his needs 24 hours a day, this also puts a large strain on being able to work. All contributions are helpful. Thank you.
